I have interacted with Ron on several message boards and one-on-one. I have also attended his webinars on options trading. He is one of the rare traders that knows what they are doing and are constantly working on improving. He genuinely cares about his students and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure their success. He breaks complex concepts down to easy, digestible and actionable steps.
I've learned more about Butterfly spreads, Condor Hedge trades and the practical application of technical analysis from Ron than any other coach I've worked with. Ron's know-how is unparalleled and he's the most well read trader I've come across. You won't regret working with Ron.
Ron looks beyond the conventional wisdom of many aspects of options trading. He has a knack for identifying concepts that at first glance seem to be straightforward, and yet often prove to be more nuanced when analyzed in greater detail. He creates insightful presentations that clearly explain these key issues, and more importantly, their sometimes counterintuitive impact on common options trading strategies. This deeper level of analysis often determines whether or not a particular strategy actually has a definable “edge.” Ron also has a thorough understanding of the most popular brokerage trading platforms and options trading software applications currently available (i.e., ThinkorSwim, OptionVue, Option Net Explorer), as well as the inherent idiosyncrasies of the greeks generated by them.
Ron, I want to say thank-you for the terrific innovation of the STT and variants. I've now spent some time with the Jan version in the simulator, and it's just an amazing way to leverage portfolio margin, creating a trade that only uses $375 margin to get say, a $409 expiration profit and still have a hedge down at SPX 2000. Really extraordinary.
Ron is extremely knowledgeable in how options behave and in translating that "know how" in creating very unique and profitable trades. In my opinion, one of his best traits is how he clearly communicates the setup and management of his trades and more importantly the reasoning behind why they work.
Ron is probably one of the best traders and teachers I have met who takes complex ideas and turns them into simple explanations...this is very hard to do.
